Journey To The Cross

Welcome to Journey to the Cross, 14 daily readings leading up to Easter. The readings are accompanied by a reflection question or two to help you "dig deeper" into the passage.  The process is designed to bring the Bible alive and inspire you to apply biblical insight to your life.

Pray

Each day begins and ends with prayer.  Before you begin reading, ask God to help you understand the passage for the day.

Read

Next, read slowly and carefully through the selected passage for each day.  Sometimes, you'll want to read through the passage more than once to really "dig in" to its meaning.

Reflect

Your daily reading offers you a reflection question or two to help you in this process.  After you've answered those questions, then, to help you further meditate on the passage, ask yourself any or all of these questions: "What does this passage say?" "What is its main point?" "What does it reveal about God?" "What does it say about me?" These questions will help you to "dig deeper" into the meaning of the passage as you study and reflect.

Apply

This step is so important.  After you've reflected on the meaning of the passage, read the "Apply" section for that day.  It will help you apply God's Word that day to your life.  Remember, your goal is to use what you've learned that day to become more like Jesus.
